A Vampire Family Reunion & Wine Tasting

The Collins family, from Dark Shadows, invites their vampire relations to a family reunion and wine tasting. We will gather and sip dark red liquid from a glass or..... Vampires from stage and screen, literature and legend, from all times and places, are welcome. We're all members of the same ancient family tree.

We’ll share a tasting flight of carefully-chosen ports, with an accompanying plate of Stilton cheese and figs. After that, attendees are free to order additional wine to taste or plates of local artisanal snacks on a no-host basis. Those wishing to continue their evening after our event ends will find many options nearby for drinks or dinner.

Costume: Vampires of any era or tradition. This is an evening to wear your Best Basic Black. GBACG Costume Guidelines

Menu: We have put together a flight of Tawny Ports from the house of Barros. There is a non-vintage, a 10-year, and a 20-year. A progression of aged Tawnies is a marvelous way to experience Port. These wines pair beautifully with Stilton, and we have a perfect one. Each individual’s plate will also include walnuts and black mission figs on small, individual cheese plates. For those people wishing the non-wine option the choices are Fizzy Lizzy Raspberry Lemon Soda, Bundaberg Ginger Beer, or Calistoga Sparkling Mineral Water. Attendees may order additional wines and gourmet nibbles on their own.

Parking: City parking lot across the street from the venue. Public garage around the corner at 1416 Oak Street (The Civic Center Garage), between Central and Santa Clara Avenues. Free parking after 5:00 P.M. Street parking available but, can be hard to find.
